Awww All Over Again

Holy moly, cant believe I haven't blogged since Wednesday!

This weekend hmm. Well on Friday I fell asleep (after my huge lunch that I brought home from Greggs, god it was good though) and woke up about 7 o'clock feeling rubbish, I don't like falling asleep during the day, it knocks me out. I watched Big Brother and just had a quiet one. Ate 2 M&S microwave meals for dinner, honest to God I am going to turn into a hippo - I cant have one of anything!


On Saturday I cleaned and did boring stuff (for some reason I decided to re-arrange one of my underwear drawers - entirely pointless waste of an hour), and did some internet shopping, ordered a shelf unit (I didn't entirely think this one through, I don't know where I'm going to put it!), 2 cushions, another duvet set(!!) and another bale of Christy towels. This blog seems to be a record of my purchases, how boring for everyone.


Today I went shopping of course! I went up Glasgow with Leanne and I bought absolutely nothing. Traipsed away up to Starbucks Bothwell Street for my tazo tea and it was bloody shut. I was gutted man gutted!!! Ended up having a stupid Twinnings in stupid Costa Coffee - not amused! I'm having a Kirsty tazo tea right now (and 2 walnut whips!) but its not the same.


Mister Man has just left, away with his wee bag of crisps. Haha I never let him leave empty handed, was thinking that earlier on, I always give him something for his journey home. Eejit.


I'm going out for my birthday next weekend! Yum yum! Then on 16th Feb I'm going sledging in Xscape (cept I'm not sledging but I'm not telling them that yet - it will make my hair curly).


And that's that. Back to work tomorrow and I haven't did a scrap of ironing tho I can see it all from here, hmph.


Oh CONGRATS to Louise who moved into her flat today. Here is her bed for all you weirdos out there (I am one of them as Louise will confirm).

The Only Way is Up! Baaaby

Its almost Thursday!!! I dont know why I get so excited about the weekend, I dont actually do anything, at least during the week I have a purpose and something to get out of bed for!

Went to mum's for dinner tonight, so am all stuffed. Came home and NTL box appears to be a bit broken so I'm watching a blank TV screen, its fascinating.

The first thing that hit me when I walked into my living room tonight was the smell of lillies, I'm sorry but its totally bogging, and I'm pretty sure its giving me a sore head. They smell of wee!! I woud chuck them out the window but I feel bad cos they were a gift. So for future reference I like roses - NOT lillies. Gads and there's still loads of pods that havent opened yet.

My new neighbour chapped the door last night. Eeeeeek. To complain about the smell of lillies coming from my flat. Hahaha not really. The postman had left a parcel sitting outside my door so he took it in so it wouldnt get nicked which was nice of him. He is tall and has tattoos. And his name is Barry. I miss Twirly Girly, I will never forgive her for leaving me.

Louise & I watched the best programme ever last night! And Sarah Smart is in it, she is my favouritest actress. And its on again tonight & Thursday night and Tuesday & Wednesday next week!!! Lalalaaaa.

Ok going to go and read some Harry before Sarah is on.

Oh Starbucks thing is NOT going well. Still having one every day. Well tomorrow's another day.

Ohhhh I Feel Old

Well that's Monday over. It was quite quick, apart from the usual waiting on the bus part which can take anything from 30 seconds to 45 minutes. I suppose I really should look at the bus timetables before I leave work on a freezing cold night.

I was taken for lunch today, I had a big bacon cheeseburger with chips, then I went into the big office where my boss gave me my gold diamond encrusted lapel pin. I'm going to save it up, then when I have a few maybe I can make a wee ring or something from them all!

Then when I got back to my own desk, my PM had left a bunch of flowers and a wee box of chocolates on my desk with a note saying "the first 10 years are the hardest" hee hee.

What was that I was saying about the never ending boxes of chocolates???

Weekend!

Nearly over again...I think I might be filling out some holiday forms this week.

This weekend guess what I did? Yes, I went shopping - shocker!

I bought 3 lamps, 1 each for my bedside table, and one for my living room.








They were extortionate.........I'm allowed to spend up to £100 from my work as my 10-year anniversary gift, so I'm wondering if they would let me put that money towards the cost of the lamps?

Not much else happened, on Saturday I went to my mum's for dinner and to pick up my duvet coat (biiig padded coat with a big hood that I can lose myself in) as its going to be snowing again next week. Then we all went up to my gran's.

Mister Man visited this morning, I done some ironing as its been piled up on one of my couches for about a fortnight now. So I now have two couches again, which is a plus! Then went to the lampshop.

And now I'm going to get back to Harry Potter and my big box of Thorntons chocolates. No matter how many boxes of chocolates I open, the pile doesnt seem to decrease any!!

Whoops! This is What Happens When I'm Bored!

Today the Project Manager went round and asked everyone to lunch! I've never known anyone who worked for Jacobs to do that, he obviously hasnt been there long enough to be Jacobs-dised yet. What a nice thing to do tho. And it was yum! As usual I got the biggest meal (I dont do it on purpose - it just always happens!), they were all sitting there with their wee bowls of pasta and there's me with a huge toasted ciabatta with breast of chicken, roasted red peppers, mozzarella & mayo, chips and a side salad - mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Got my payrise today - 5%. That takes me up to £3.5 million.

Whoo My 201st Post!

Got my tea today! Tazo Chai Latte tea. Its NOT like Starbucks. It smells like Starbucks but it doesnt taste like it. What I need to do is become a friend of a Starbucks employee and find out how they make it!!! If anyone knows how to make Starbucks Tazo Chai Latte tea (Starbucks style) please leave me a message!!

Wowser I dont know what's in they teabags but my head is spiiiining!

Tonight I went to mum's for dinner. She made sausages which were suspiciously like Pepperamis. I dont know how she manages it.

Not much else happening, I'm going to work, coming home from work, going to work coming home from work. Tomorrow's Thursday and that's one step closer to Friday so I'm happy enough.

Oh I got my 10-year service letter through today...I get to spend £100 on myself which my company will pay for....what do I buy? Another watch?

Anyway, bedtime with Harry Potter!

Monday's over!!!! All in all it was ok day. Got the bus to work almost straight away and I left work at 4.30pm and was on a bus for 4.35 - OMG SHOCKEROONI!

I brought work home with me and now I just need to force myself to do it. I really want to read my Harry Potter book though!!!

And That's It Over

Cant believe weekend is finished already (almost). I cant win when it comes to the weekend. If I stay in and do nothing I feel as tho its waste of days off but if I go out and do things it goes too fast and I always wish I'd stayed in and done nothing!

Anyways. This weekend I bought 2 pairs of trousers for work, a dress, new glasses (drinking not seeing), a teacosy (yes a teacosy) annnnnnnd a wee jacket incase the rain ever stops. Oh yeah and a coat with a hood incase the rain never stops.....which is more likely. And a scarf & some eyeshadow. And 2 pairs of shoes and a pair of boots. And a pair of wee trainers.

OMG what have I done!!

Its the weekend. Am soooooo happy bout this.

I've been getting the wrong bus for the last 2 days. Not that it was the wrong bus, it went where I wanted it to go, it was just a bloody nightmare. It was fine in the morning but at the other end of the day when I was leaving work it was just rubbish. Last night I waited 45 minutes for it, and tonight I waited just under an hour. Kerry's told me bus times, I had vowed not to go into my work email over the weekend but I need to go back in just to look for her email.

When I stepped off the bus today (finally!!!) it was blowing an absolute gale, I nearly fell over!! I had to get stuff out the back of Dave and when I opened him loads of stuff flew out. I'm sure I keep seeing it all flying past my window.

Got another frigging Starbucks tea. I NEED to stop buying this, its both beautiful & evil. The problem is that I have to walk past Starbucks to get to and from Bothwell Street from my office so I have no way of avoiding the damn place. Actually there is another way but I have to walk down a really steep hill and cos my heels are so high its nigh impossible. You try walking down a steep hill on your tiptoes and see how far you get!

Anyway am going to get jammies on and a big blanket and chill oot.

Confession

I started a new blog and never told anyone. But then I felt guilty for abandoning this blog.

Oh my god speaking of which, best thing about Glasgow is Starbucks Tazo Latte Tea. I have been having a cup of this every day for my lunch. I love it. But I cant afford it. Will have to make it a treat.

OMG I'm Gone!

Well that's me finished on site, just shy of 5 years. For the last 2 days I've been doing my handover so I've not really been able to keep up-to-date with my correspondence (and by that I mean e-mailing Louise & Kerry!)

Today was nice, I got a wee speech made by John which was v. funny and John took me and a few others out to lunch. I got beautiful presents; a new watch, a wee jewellery box, beautiful roses that look as though they are velvet, 2 boxes of chocolates, 4 cards and £100!

So that's that. Tomorrow I start in Glasgow, I have no idea where to get off the bus, what I'm wearing, if I have a computer and my wee flat is a pigsty!

Weekend

I broke a nail so cant type properly, its quite a serious break too. It happened when I was putting away my tree and decorations. Am glad to have my living room back to normal, even if it did cost me a nail. Might jump up the RAH later on to see if they can fix it.

I had a very quiet weekend, went over to my mum's for dinner on Saturday then Leanne came over on Saturday night. Sunday, I took my tree down and did some hoosework! Oh and I watched Alison & Chris' wedding DVD, awww so sweet, it was a lovely wedding.

Tomorrow is my last Monday on site. Its really strange how I'm not nervous or anything about leaving site/starting in the office. I'm just kinda numb about it all. We'll see how numb I am on Tuesday though! I'm going out for lunch with Genivieve on Tuesday, wondering if I can just take a sneaky wee half day after it. Dont think it will be possible though. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is doing the handover with the new girl. I dont really see the need for a handover, I've never had a handover in my life and I always managed, its a big huge mega pain in the erse.

Anyway, better do some ironing. I want to get into the office for half 7 tomorrow so dont want to be getting up early and having to iron!

Back to work today - dreaaaad. It was pants.

I went into Irvine at lunchtime to get away from it and look for new clothes for my new job. All I bought was a chocolate mousse and Percy Pigs. Suspect any outfit I could concoct from that combination would not go down well with my boss. Met McShandy whilst I was in Irvine. He was walking about with 2 pink scooters. Fair nuff!

Mister Man wasnt in today but thats ok he's back tomorrow, cant wait! Although he paid me a visit yesterday but still. I like him in his shirt & tie, lovely. I just want to bite him and eat him all up, yum yum.

This time next week I'll have finished my first day in the Glasgow office! Exciting! Am going to the Living Room for lunch with Louise. I will need to ask her where that is.
